Working on GameZombie

The following stories I have created on the fan page:

http://bit.ly/dC8WMd Repost of Mario Chaplin video made 1 year ago.
http://bit.ly/awBc2k Article about how gaming reorganizes your brain.
http://bit.ly/auzhkm Post about Little Big Planet 2
http://bit.ly/9uGGBV Generic status update about a thought/saying gamers often say… just to get some interaction on a shared idea.
http://bit.ly/d4ho Post to upcoming Fall Out Vegas trailer.

I created two google documents for the team to collaborate and share ideas in. One is a list of different types of content and examples of information we can post to get more interaction on the fan page. The other is a document for working out the description of our event we will be hosting on facebook.

Overall we have some great potential for some awesome things coming down the line. Especially with the National Retro Gaming Week event. I think we have been making an excellent impact on the pages interaction. Participation in the group has been good. I am a little concerned that I may be speaking up a bit much and smothering out others ideas / thoughts. Certainly will be more mindful and careful to enable others as well.

Ego Surf: Who am I on the Internet?

Posted: September 14, 2010 in GameZombie

==Web Search Engines==

I often monitor how I appear on the internet. My default stance is to put as little as possible out there about who I am. So far, there are only a few results on a Google Web Search that point to the real me: LinkedIn, UWW (Library blog, Royal Purple and AITP MCS Chairman), Highschool Play, Xing profile, and Running race results from when I was 13. Bing added one more recent result from a Social Media urban hunt that I participated in this summer in Chicago. My name is listed there with my twitter handle, foursquare, and facebook urls.

==Image Search Engines==

Bing returned nothing. Google Image Search found my LinkedIn profile photo. Then also pulled all the profile photos that are listed on the linkedIn search results around me. The other person with my name is in some random groups on facebook, the photos for those groups are also pulled.

==Others==
Video, Maps, and News returned little to nothing of interested.

==Results==
There is one other person with my exact same name. He lives in Ontario and has a very small online presences with the name, smaller than mine. It should be easy for me to capitalize my name.

==Goals==

I have kept my image online minimal, clean online so far very purposefully. My LinkedIn is the first result and most important result right now. I keep it well maintained and up to date. My facebook name is not set to my real name to keep it detached from my person at this point. My goal is to capitalize on the availability of my name online.
